The marketing team has had issues with this site, from the moment I started working for j2 Global, they could not easily move content pieces and around without breaking the styles on the page, nor were they able to easily make styling updates.

I was asked a number of times to help them try and make smalls updates like move a from to a different spot on the page, but because of the way this site was built that was not possible without having to rewrite the CSS.

The solution that the marketing team and I came up with was to create a new template, with CSS that was modular that allowed the marketing team to make changes quickly, without breaking the page’s look and feel. This was the first site that I was able to fully control the rollout of how the HTML and CSS was integrated onto the production site, and the end result was that the marketing team was able to create new pages, content, and run A/B testing without little to no down time.

sFax Home page

sFax

This site was inherited when j2 Global acquired them, this site was created on wordpress by the previous developer that had multiple themes for various page creating a huge consistency problems throughout the site and making it difficult to make changes.

I was tasked to assist the marketing team in deciphering how this website was created, and how to update it to meet their current needs.

The solution was that I ended up creating a new template within the existing theme, but used my own current CSS code to make the pages consistent across the site, and the marketing team to focus on content updates rather than design/development updates

Campaigner

This was a project where I was part of a team that completely redesigned their website. Our lead designer created the initial mockup and homepage, and I was tasked to take his designs, and prototype code from a handful of pages and create the templates that would be used for creating the rest of the pages on the website.

The solution That I came up with for this site, was to create more modular blocks of code that could be reused on various pages throughout the site, the initial prototypes gave me a base style that I helped scale up to make it useable throughout the site.
