UW Lambdas

My Role:

One of the current members asked me to take a look at their current site, and asked if it can be improved upon. I basically took the same functionality from the theme they had on their old site, and designed and created a custom theme that is easier to update, and where the code is clean and easier to read. I helped them move their site to their own host so that they can run their own SEO on it, and help push their site up in Google rankings, the design I chose to go with was a clean look and easy to read, to target their audience of oncoming college students, hence the emphasis on social media.

Stanton & Company

My Role:

This scope of this project was to update Stanton & Company’s WordPress site, with a new theme, I was given the design by the graphic designer they had hired, and I built it to her specifications. This was the WordPress project that really taught me everything I wanted to know about WordPress loops, the way that this site is laid out I really had to write out the php code to make it do what they wanted it to do. This site launched with no errors in the code, and I came back in later and added a few new features later on to enhance the site.

Natural Yards

My Role:

Natural Yards was a project where my team and I all submitted one home page design and the client would choose which one they liked more, and that would the be design that we would build the site on.

Unfortunately, my design was not chosen, but it was still one of my favorite designs, I was inspired by the Windows Phone User interface, and I ran with that idea in designing the home page.

Plum Pretty Sugar

My Role:

I inherited this BigCommerce Site from the client’s previous web developer, ever since I have updated their homepage, category pages, press page, and About us pages to their site. I was forced to examine the previous developer’s code, and how they chose to work within the BigCommerce Framework to make this site. I eventually added 2 different JQuery Sliders and had to make them look the same when implementing them on the site. I also updated their overall look and feel through CSS

Go Mohu

My Role:

GoMohu.com was a project where I got the chance to develop their website twice. Their initial site, I designed, last year, and since then they rebranded themselves which called for an updated website.

When I first started working on the original site, it was one of the first BigCommerce sites that I had made, and so I will still figuring out how the system works. But the when they asked for a new website where they can update it , they gave us their new design, and we proposed that they use a combination of BigCommerce and WordPress to build their new site.

Everything was pushed to the WordPress Content Management System, except for any of the store related pages, we kept that on BigCommerce. The challenge in developing this site was to keep the styles the same between the 2 different platforms across different browsers, each having their own set of included styles.
